Scope of the services

  • “Services” means the technical support services provided by Egeeks Technology Services in connection with this Agreement whether such services are provided in person or via email, telephone support, Support Ticket System, Frequently Asked Questions or by any other means.

 

  • Egeeks Technology Services will only perform the work initially agreed in the contract of service. Any additional work required must be authorized by you, and it will be charged separately at the applicable rate at that time.

 

  • Egeeks Technology Services will perform the services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with generally recognized commercial practices and standards. The Services will conform with all descriptions and specifications provided to you by Egeeks   Technology Services.

 

  • One-Time Service. A One-Time Service will address a single, specific, discrete problem for which Egeeks Technology Services will attempt to isolate its origin to a single cause, which may include follow-ups, as reasonable and necessary, regarding that incident.

 

  • Subscription Services. When you subscribe to one of our Pro-Active Maintenance Plans, details of what is included in the plan that you have selected will be presented to you prior to ordering a Subscription Service. Subscription Services entitle you to support for the number of hours indicated and the number of computers covered. Any additional support not included in the Subscription Services description will constitute a One-Time Service for each additional incident charged at the applicable rate at that time.
  • Remote Support. In order to provide services to you, Egeeks Technology Services may be required to connect remotely to and run scripts on your PC or modify your PC or other software settings. You authorize Egeeks Technology Services to connect to your PC to accomplish these tasks and will download and agree to any applicable end user licence agreement for any software used for such connection. As part of such remote support, Egeeks Technology Services will have full access to your computer or other hardware, as applicable.
    At the conclusion of a remote access repair service session that is terminated by either the customer or Egeeks Technology Services, the data connection and all access between Egeeks Technology Services remote access repair service and the customer computer is completely terminated and Egeeks Technology Services can no longer access the customer computer without the explicit authorization of the customer to make a new connection.

 

  • Any customer data temporarily archived by Egeeks Technology Services, either by customer’s separate service request or in the course of a remote access repair Service, will not be shared in any manner or with any other entity or person, in accordance with applicable law regarding confidentiality of customer data. Egeeks Technology Services will ensure that confidential data has not become vulnerable, or our customer’s sensitive data is not inadvertently exposed.

Pricing and payment

Services advertised on this website may be modified or discontinued without prior notice. Prices for services are subject to change without prior notice.

 

  • Payment is due in full upon completion of successful service rendered, unless by special previous arrangement.

 

  • The client is financially responsible for all shipping costs and taxes to and from Egeeks Technology Services.

 

  • We accept PayPal, VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Bank Transfers.
  • You agree that the services rendered will be charged in the amount representing the price of the One-Time service (plus applicable taxes) after the technical issues has been resolved.

 

  • You agree that the Pro-Active Maintenance Plans that you contracted, will be charged on a monthly recurring basis, as indicated when you place an order. All contracts require a minimum of 6 months of contract period.

 

  • All services sales are final: there are no refunds or credits for any reason, except when we are unable to resolve your incident, in which case you will receive a full refund of the price you paid for that One-Time Service.

Limitation of Liability

  • In no event shall Egeeks Technology Services be liable to any person for any special, general, incidental, indirect, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including, without limitation, those resulting from negligent or criminal acts of third parties, loss of use, systems downtime, loss of data, lost profits, network downtime or computer hardware damage, in connection with any of the services rendered, whether or not such person is advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

  • Egeeks Technology Services liability for damage to your equipment is limited only to any damage which is determined to be caused by Egeeks Technology Services’s negligent acts or negligent omissions. You also agrees that in no event will Egeeks Technology Services be liable for damages that exceed the actual price paid for a service or product related to the current job, regardless of the form of the claim.
  • Data is the most important part of a computer system because it is often irreplaceable. Due to the process of repair, data may get damaged or deleted. Egeeks Technology Services will not accept liability for any loss or corruption of data and/or software as a result of computer repair request. You are responsible for backing up your own data. You may request that Egeeks Technology Services back up your data, subject to applicable service charges.

Your responsibilities

  • The technician must receive full access to the computer(s) and/or peripheral(s) to be serviced, access to your residence, your consent and cooperation to enter your residence or business, and a safe working environment.

 

  • For on-site services, an adult presence is required. A person of at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time period services are provided.
  • Ensuring that you own or have a licence for any software, hardware and other products for which you request our services.

 

  • Maintaining and backing up all information, data and software stored or installed on your PC before we provide the services to you. Egeeks Technology Services will not accept liability for any loss of data as a result of computer service request. For greater certainty, you acknowledge that the provisions under the Limitations of Liability in the Egeeks Technology Services Terms of Service apply, as applicable, to the services.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • 24 Hour Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy. We appreciate your help in keeping our schedule running efficiently. By scheduling a service appointment through our website, the client agrees to keep all scheduled appointments in a timely manner. If the client is unable to keep an appointment, it is Require to notify with at least 24 hours in advance for cancellations or rescheduling of an appointment.

Please understand that when you forget, cancel, or change your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our wait list miss the opportunity to receive services.

Privacy

  • Egeeks Technology Services recognises that personal privacy is an important issue, and we support the protection of internet privacy as required by Canadian legislation. Please, check our Privacy Policy periodically for possible changes.
